Super Cell Fenders are uniquely designed as a 3-dimensional element for high Energy Absorption (EA), while keeping Reaction Force (RF) to a minimum.

The Super Cell Fender is a cylindrical elastomeric section with steel mounting plates permanently bonded at each end. Under axial loading, the cylindrical section buckles radially. This controlled, multi-directional dispersion of energy combines the high absorption efficiency of the buckling column with a stable geometric shape.

Using FEM analysis, the Super Cell Fender design was improved to provide better stress distribution. As a result, design deflections increased to 52.5% for superior performance and high durability.
