Bridgestone Dyna Arch Fenders have a long and successful record, particularly in small harbors where their high performance and durability have helped establish Bridgestone's reputation as a manufacturer of high quality marine fenders.

The Dyna Arch series has been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of applications. Dyna Arch Fender Type-A (DA-A) is a conventional Arch Fender with a rubber face. Dyna Arch Type-B (DA-B) has a steel plate embedded into the face that can be fitted with an additional steel frame with polyethylene frontal pads.

The latest development in the Dyna Arch Fender series is the Slide Type (DA-S) --- a composite fender with polyethylene (UHMW) bonded to its face. This design provides a low maintenance fender with a completely wearable low friction face.

HIGH ENERGY ABSORPTION (EA) AND LOW REACTION FORCE (RF)

In designing the arch, or V-Type, Marine Fender, the ratio of Energy Absorption (EA) to the product of Reaction Force (RF) and Height (H) is significant. Higher E/(RxH) ratios mean better performance. The Dyna Arch Fender has a higher E/(RxH) ratios than the conventional types of V-Type Fenders.

The Dyna Arch Fender has been developed using FEM design analysis. Internal stresses are dispersed throughout the fender body, thereby preventing stress concentrations during compression of the fender.

FEATURES OF DYNA ARCH TYPE-S

• Superior bonding with UHMW
  Because of superior bonding between the UHMW face and the rubber body, the DA-S fender can withstand even the most severe line contact from vessels.
  
  
• UHMW face is completely usable
  The entire thickness of the UHMW pad is usable. When pads are attached with bolts on other types of fenders, only the portion of the face above the bolt heads is usable.

• UHMW can minimize shear damage
  The low friction of the UHMW face minimizes shear deflection of the fender body, thereby extending its life.
  
  
• Wide range of UHMW colors are available
  The standard colors are yellow and blue, but a wide range of other colors are available upon request. The UHMW pads will not smear or transfer colors onto vessels.
